The year of the Water Dragon begins on Monday, January 23, 2012. On Sunday
night, Chinese New Year Eve, clean your home and bring in fresh flowers.
Give your friends and family little red decorated envelops filled with money
called Lycee. As you hand the envelopes to them, they will bow three times
to show their respect. Eat noodles for a long life and oranges for a
feeling of completeness. Offer a bowl of rice to the “Kitchen God.” Wear
new clothes (usually red) and avoid black. Cut your hair to make a fresh
start in the new year. Only say positive things. It is lucky to stay up
past Midnight on January 22nd to ensure a long life.

We recuperated during the year of the Rabbit last year. Now we make a
magnificent comeback in the year of the Dragon. Business will be good, with
money generated, and we will be thinking big! This is a year to marry, start
a business or have a child. On a more serious note, one author writes,
“Fortunes and disasters will come in huge waves, tempers will erupt and
nations rebel.” Dragon does not favor the idle or those who shirk their
responsibilities. Remember, if you stay in motion, you can much more easily
handle whatever comes your way. The year 2000 (Y2K) was the last year of the
Dragon.

Rat (1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008) You will find a new
sense of balance and harmony this year. New relationships will develop,
leading to lasting friendships. You will attract many clients and customers.
Expand only when you have established a solid foundation for growth. Old
debts may come back to haunt you.

Ox (1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009. This is a year of many
changes. You will have the help of influential people, but your workload
will increase. You will have successful outcomes, but be patient, they will
come in due time. Try to network. New software arrives. Money you lend
will not be paid back.

Tiger (1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010) Take the back seat
this year. Be professional and businesslike, but don’t rock the boat! A
partnership could end. Listen to advice, but try not to give it. You may
take a road in an entirely new direction this year. Stay active and drink
lots of water.

Rabbit (1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011) The friends you meet
this year will give you great support and stay with you for years to come.
It is a good year for romance. Stay in your job. Don’t reveal too much
about yourself. Lay low, avoid turmoil and use discretion. Guard your
reputation. Attend concerts, plays and movies.

Dragon (1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2012) This is a break out year
with many opportunities coming your way. You are very charismatic and you
will show the world what you can do. Success comes easily and you acquire
fame and fortune. Write out your vision for the future on paper and sleep
with it under your pillow to infuse the energy of your vision with your
spirit. A new lover, baby or pet arrives this year.

Snake (1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013) A year to plant seeds
for the future – your big year will be 2013. Be more tight-fisted with your
money. Don’t gamble. Stay in your current job. Avoid gossip. The beginning
of 2012 may be dramatic and difficult, but later when the cold weather comes
you will get good news.

Horse (1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014) This year you will be
productive, capable, efficient and successful. However, you might
experience interruptions and be pulled in different directions. Watch your
health. Build your emergency funds. Regular exercise is a must!

Sheep (1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015) Instead of giving so
much of your time to the outside world stay home and pay attention to
yourself and family. You may meet person at the beginning of the year that
may be in a serious relationship with you at the end of the year. Expect
new technology in the workplace. Organize and remove clutter from your
home. Indulge in hobbies and interests.

Monkey (1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016) 2012 will be a
better year. You will gain a practical skill. Get others to finance your
dreams. You give good advice and could open a consulting business. Your
income will increase, but cut expenses. Place a Peacock feather in your
home to attract love. Travel abroad is in the picture.

Rooster (1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017) After a dramatic
2011, this year brings more success, romance and a new member into your
family. Create a side business to bring in more money. You are given the
power to shape your own destiny. You may remodel, redecorate or move your
home. You will travel giving lectures and workshops this year. Draw your
family closer to you to avoid stress at home.

Dog (1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018) Most authors say this
is a difficult year. You have to deal with the competition. Lie low and join
forces with others. This is a year of review, reassessment and acquiring
new wisdom and skills. At one point in the year you will jump into action!
New opportunities will show up simultaneously.

Boar (1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019) This is a better year.
You will make a good impression on others. You may need an assistant. There
could be restructuring at work. Spend time with colleagues, go to social
events and have lunch with new friends. A new romance happens. People will
want to confide in you. Save money for a mid-year vacation. Carry a piece
of Jade for good luck!
